Still healing wounds one word at a time...

I am perfectly imperfect!
I love this saying as it describes us all in different ways. The search for perfection (whatever that means) has ruined dreams, self esteems, relationships, etc... What is ugly to one is beautiful to another. What is slightly irregular can be seen as a work of art or a disaster-pending your views. The feeling of not being good enough as a result of their baggage, defense wall or just plain insecurities lies to our better sense of self (as we all have weak moments). However weak moments do not make us weak. In a season of trials and tribulations when the world appears to be against us, we can stand and declare that we are PERFECTLY IMPERFECT! The storm will pass and should we stand on the notion that perfection can be whatever we declare it to be, we will find that being imperfect can be perfect!

  1. Perfection is a result of the "Shlds" that are ingrained in us as children - "we should be this way"...so, we go through life striving to achieve what is perfect in our mind --or what/or whom we may be hoping to please....undoing that pattern and really learning to be ourselves in its own glorious imperfect nature is a challenge but rewarding. Noticing the patterns in our "Weak moments" helps us learn to love the imperfect yet perfect us....do we want to be what others want us to or what we really yearn to be....

  2. Good point..but how does a person get past being "perfect"?..Perfection is a competition within ourselves and amoung others..we all strive to be perfect and when we are not we strive to be perfect for next time..by nature most humans beings do not settle for imperfection.."most of us want to be what other want" as we do not want to disappoint others...how do we remove what has been ingrained in us for decades that has lead to our "perfection" mental status.....

keep the blog rolling sis! great work!
